6th Annual 24 in 24 Fundraiser for Fighting Cancer

CrossFit No Surrender's 6th Annual "24 in 24" fundraiser for breast cancer benefiting the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center of Covington.

How Does it Work?

The programming for the 24 in 24 event reflects the variety of strength, cardio, and body weight exercises that make up the CrossFit experience, including a few of the so-called ‘benchmark WODS’ designed to gauge progress, and extremely challenging ‘Hero WODS’ honoring fallen soldiers. There will be a kids’ WOD, and we are expecting a few very special guests.

Every hour, on the hour, we will move on to the next workout.

History of 24 in 24

Crossfit No Surrender owner and head coach Shane Venezia is a former Army Ranger and lifelong fitness enthusiast. His dedication to fund raising in support of cancer research is inspired by his younger sister’s battle with breast cancer two years ago. In fact, before there was 24 in 24, Crossfit No Surrender hosted a fund raiser for Renee, at the time a young mother with a husband deployed in Afghanistan. Inspired by Venezia’s dedication and supported by the generosity of many, Crossfit No Surrender raised over six thousand dollars in a single day, while athletes from across the region took turns performing the WOD in a parking lot.

Since then, athletes from crossfit affiliates throughout the region have volunteered to participate in each WOD (workout of the day), with a few even signed up for all twenty-four. The crossfit community is known internationally for its warm welcome and support of newcomers, and, as always, drop ins, the curious, and young and old of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate. Sign up for a single WOD, sponsor an athlete, or contribute to the fan base by cheering on the athletes who add twenty-five dollars (the minimum requested donation per athlete) to the total donation to Mary Bird Perkins with each workout completed.

Participate & Donate

Participate!

Come alone or bring a group from your gym for one, two, or even twenty workouts. All you have to do is pledge $25 dollars per workout.

These workouts are designed to be fun, not punishing. All of the workouts can be scaled to any fitness level. The point is to participate, make friends, and help those in need.

Donate!

Sponsor a friend, or even better, ask friends, family, and coworkers to pledge their financial support by offering to pay for each workout you complete. Athletes from CrossFit affiliates throughout the region have volunteered to participate in each workout, with a few even signed up for all twenty-four. The CrossFit community is known internationally for its warm welcome and support of newcomers, and, as always, drop ins, the curious, and young and old of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
